Prospect
A prospect is a potential customer who has been identified as a good fit for a business’s product or service but has not yet engaged or expressed interest. Prospects are often found through market research, industry lists, or outbound sales efforts. Unlike leads, prospects haven’t shown direct intent to buy but are likely to benefit from your offering.
Businesses typically engage prospects through outreach strategies like cold calling, email campaigns, or social media. The goal is to convert prospects into leads by sparking interest and moving them further into the sales funnel. Once they engage and express interest, they can be considered leads.
