Qualified Lead

A qualified lead is a prospect that has been vetted and deemed to have a high potential to become a paying customer. Lead qualification involves assessing whether the lead has the necessary interest, authority, budget, and timeline to purchase. Qualified leads are often categorized into two types:

  • Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs): These leads have shown interest in marketing materials but may not yet be ready for sales outreach.
  • Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs): These leads have demonstrated clear intent to make a purchase and are ready for direct sales engagement. Focusing on qualified leads helps businesses improve conversion rates by prioritizing prospects who are most likely to buy.
