Sales Development Representative (SDR)
A Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for outbound prospecting and qualifying leads before passing them on to the sales team. SDRs focus on the top of the sales funnel, identifying potential customers and engaging them through phone calls, emails, and social media outreach.
Their primary goal is to assess whether the lead fits the company’s target customer profile and whether they are ready to be passed on to the Account Executive (AE) or sales team. SDRs play a critical role in lead generation by filtering out unqualified leads, ensuring that the sales team focuses on high-quality prospects, thereby increasing efficiency and conversion rates.
